Formation of Spelthorne Branch

Wednesday 18 July - First meeting of Spelthorne Branch, Woodthorpe Road, Ashford

Another very well attended meeting saw first a vote to confirm the formation of a branch to cover the whole CLP, followed by the election of officers. It was felt by the majority present that the best way to take the party forward and to give everyone a say in the running of the party, would be to create a branch which covers the whole constituency.

Michael Birchall (pictured) has been confirmed as the Chair of Spelthorne Branch, with Sarah Ghani elected as Vice-Chair, John May as Secretary and Robert Ferguson as Treasurer.

The next branch meeting will be held in September as there is an August break.
