Meet Robert Ferguson
"I'm Robert Ferguson and I have been selected by the Labour Party membership to represent Spelthorne as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC). I'm a lifelong resident of the borough, born in Sunbury in 1982 to Linda and Staveley. My parents have been the biggest influence on my political views - shaping my belief in building a fair and inclusive society. I joined the Labour Party because it is the only party truly committed to giving everyone a fair chance in life and because the people in the local Labour Party want to help build a better place for us to live and for our children to grow up in. I hope as spokesman for parliamentary affiars I can help make Spelthorne a stronger, happier and more sustainable community.
I have worked in the parliamentary office of Jim Knight, the School's Minister and Labour MP for South Dorset, so I have first hand experience of the work of an MP. I've seen what it takes to make a really first rate MP - dedication, hard work and a commitment to your community.
I've also worked for the influential think tank the Fabian Society and I am working hard with everyone else in the Party to represent Spelthorne.
